Very funny and well written.

It's been so many years since I turned fifty, but I remember some of it, I think. Or perhaps I'm only filling holes in my memory with my imagination. I'm not sure.

But what I do remember is that with fifty comes a remarkable sense of freedom. We stop caring what people think. We've climbed the ladder about as far as we can, so we can consider other ladders. I don't mess with people I don't like because I no longer have to.

Most of all, aging allows us to say, "Fuck off!"
