There is a common misunderstanding about these age-discrepant relationships. They are often conflated with pedophilia and pederasty.

Interesting that the same accusations are less commonly leveled in heterosexual age-discrepant couples.

My husband (We've been together 33 years) and I are 15 years apart in age. When we met he was 29 and I was 44. Age has never been a serious consideration in our relationship. He would resent any accusation that he had been "groomed." It angers me when people call me a sugar daddy; I am not any kind of "daddy" to him.
