I’m an old man that rides a bicycle during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although I’ve never experienced the catcalls you’ve described, I do find it interesting to see how people respond when they meet the oldest man on the bike trail.

Of course, I don’t know what anyone I meet is thinking. But sometimes the smiles seem patronizing. “Oh, isn’t he cute, but I must get out of his way.” I smile and wave and ring my bell.

I will not be invisible.
