Ronald, That was exactly the way I felt. Although I missed lots of clues, my mind would not let me see things I was not prepared to accept.

And it wasn’t just my own difficulty accepting it. Being considered a “Pathological Deviant,” as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual would have meant had I been discovered I would have been thrown out of medical school and later the military.
